Farming First, a multi-stakeholder coalition whose goal is to further sustainable agriculture development worldwide, has launched a six-part online infographic called “The Story of Agriculture and the Green Economy.” The series tells the story of agriculture’s potential for building a global green economy that can contribute to GDP growth, while also reducing carbon emissions.

Climate change threatens our global economy.

But agriculture has a huge mitigation potential.

Water is crucial and is probably agriculture’s critical limiting factor.

Improving water productivity in agriculture through increased yields and drip irrigation is key.

Large areas of the world’s cropland are seriously degraded.

Good agricultural practices can help preserve and protect arable land.
