Calling all food system game-changers! Real Food Films, the world’s largest short food films competition, is on the hunt for submissions for its third annual contest.
Over the past two years, over 300 filmmakers from around the world have entered their films on food, farming and sustainability. Now in its third year, Real Food Films Contest is looking for 4-minutes-or-less films that explore underreported food issues, unique change-makers and creative solutions for fostering a broad, public conversation about food system challenges and innovation.
Learn more about submission guidelines here, and make sure to apply by March 1, 2016 at 9pm PST/12 midnight EST.
The top ten finalists will be announced on April 1 at Madrone Studios in San Francisco. Prizes include a $5,000 Grand Prize, $2,000 for Runner-Up and special awards for Best Cinematography, Underreported Issue, Food Producer Profile, Innovative Initiative and Animation. Real Food Films media partner Vimeo will also bring wide distribution opportunities and valuable network connections to the finalists.
