It was a weekend of communal ideation, open conversation, hands on hacking and farm-to-fork eating.
For 48 hours on June 21-23, over 250 food industry experts, farmers, tech geeks and creatives convened at Hack//Meat Silicon Valley, a hackathon to prototype the future of sustainable meat. Organized by Food+Tech Connect in partnership with Applegate and GRACE Communications Foundation, the event produced 24 hacks that tackled industry challenges including increasing the supply of sustainable meat, whole animal utilization, and the terroir of grassfed beef.
We’ve put together of photo montage of the highlights of Hack//Meat Silicon Valley below. To view the full collection of event photos please visit our Flickr or Facebook pages.
