Thank you so much to everyone who came out yesterday for the inaugural Food+Tech Hackathon! I will be covering all of the interesting people, projects, and outcomes from the event over the next week, but wanted to get you started with this awesome video.
We were extremely lucky to have Dominic DiFranzo join us for this event.
Dominic DiFranzo is a Computer Science PhD student at RPI, working in the Tetherless World Constellation Lab. His primary research is in the Data-gov Wiki Project to convert datasets from data.gov into Semantic formats and link them to the Link Open Data cloud. Dominic’s research has been presented at various tech symposiums including ISWC, AAAI, and WebSci.
In this video, Dominic kicked off the morning with a talk on the semantic web, linked open data, ontologies and more at the first Food + Tech Hackathon.
